About ASD
The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) is a key agency within the Defence portfolio, responsible for protecting Australia against global threats through intelligence, cyber security, and offensive cyber operations. Candidates must complete an Organisation Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to commencement.

The Senior Project Officer will support the operation of a Project, Program, or Portfolio Office and contribute to the successful delivery of key projects and initiatives.
Candidates must hold a current TSPV security clearance to be considered.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Assist with project support tasks including the administration and coordination of project and/or program documentation.
• Accountable to contribute to the ongoing application of project and/or program planning and scheduling.
• Apply knowledge and experience of legislation, policies, strategies and team plans to program support work.
• Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative matters.
• Take initiative in prioritising work and taskings to meet business objectives.
• Evaluate and provide advice on capability or proposals.
• Maintain project financial records under direction of Project Manager.

Technical skills
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a PSO or similar role. Knowledge of project management methodologies, e.g. Agile, SAFe Experience working with Microsoft 365 and other software applications.
